The purposes of this research included the following: 1) To develop the activity package for learning English vocabulary based on Team Game Tournament (TGT) affecting Prathom Suksa 5 students’ the attitudes and learning achievement to contain the established efficiency criteria of 80/80, 2) To study the attitude of the students who were taught through the activity package for learning English vocabulary based on Team Game Tournament developed by the researcher, and 3) To compare the students’ learning achievements possessed before and after learning through the activity package for learning English vocabulary based on Team Game Tournament. The population of the study consisted of 171 Prathom Suksa 5 students who were studying in the first semester of 2023 academic year at the schools of the Educational Network Group 2, Nikhom Nam Un District, under the jurisdiction of the Office of Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area 2. The samples were 18 Prathom Suksa 5 students who had enrolled in the first semester of 2023 academic year at Chumchon Ban Nong Pling School, the Office of Sakon Nakhon Primary Educational Service Area 2. They were gained through cluster random sampling technique. The instruments employed in the study were composed of 1) the activity package of learning English vocabulary based on Team Game Tournament for Prathom Suksa 5 students, 2) a multiple-choice achievement test that included 30 questions, and 4 choices in each question, and 3) a questionnaire of 25 questions which were constructed to explore the students’ attitudes toward learning English. The statistics used for data analysis were percentage, mean, standard deviation and dependent t –test.
The results were as follows:
1. The activity package for learning English vocabulary based on Team Game Tournament affecting Prathom Suksa 5 students’ the attitudes and learning achievement had the efficiency of 80.81/82.41 which was higher than the established criteria of 80/80.
2. After learning through the developed activity package for learning English vocabulary based on Team Game Tournament affecting Prathom Suksa 5 students’ attitudes and learning achievement, Prathom Suksa 5 students’ attitudes toward learning English were at the high level.
3. After learning through the developed activity package for learning English vocabulary based on Team Game Tournament affecting Prathom Suksa 5 students’ attitudes and learning achievement, Prathom Suksa 5 students’ learning achievement was significantly higher than before at .01 statistical level.
