The purposes of this research included the following: 1) To study the level of strategic leadership of commanders, administrative factors and the performance of the Air Force Border Field Unit. 2) To study the influence of strategic leadership and administrative factors affecting the performance of the Air Force Border Field Unit.The sample consisted of 373 Air Force soldiers from the Air Force Border Field Unit. The stratified sampling method was used, using a questionnaire as the data collection tool. And the statistics used in data analysis include frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation and multiple regression analysis.
The study revealed these results:
1. The overall strategic leadership of the commanders of the border unit units under the military is at a high level ( =3.88). The administrative factors of the Air Force Border Field Unit were overall at a high level ( =3.78) and the operational efficiency of the Air Force Border Field Unit was overall at a high level ( =3.94).
2. Strategic leadership of supervisors in terms of ethical conduct (β=.407), strategic direction (β=.246), and support for effective organizational culture (β=.214).It has a statistically significant influence on the performance of the Air Force Border Field Unit at the .01 level. It can jointly predict the performance level of the Air Force Border Field Unit at 64.50 percent (R2=.645).
Administrative factors, namely budget (β=.410), working methods (β=.292), and materials and equipment (β=.263), have statistically significant influence on the performance of the Air Force Border Field Unit at the .01 level. As for ethics (β=.170), personnel (β=.165), and management (β=.148), It has a statistically significant influence on the performance of the Air Force Border Field Unit at the .05 level. It can jointly predict the performance level of the Air Force Border Field Unit at 73.10 percent (R2=.731).
